Overview

Copy.ai's updated folder system helps you better organize and manage your Workflows, Tables, and Chats. This highly anticipated update is designed to address the challenges our users have faced as their Teamspaces have grown with usage. We've also simplified our navigation sidebar, making it easier to navigate and find exactly what you need.

Improvements

The new folder-based layout offers several key improvements:

  • Organized Teamspace Structure: Users can now create and customize folders to group related Workflows, Tables, and Chats, providing a clear and intuitive hierarchy for your Teamspace.

  • Simplified Navigation and Organization: With folders, you can quickly locate the assets you need without having to sift through a cluttered Teamspace. The streamlined navigation makes it easier to stay on top of your work and find what you're looking for.

  • Flexible Folder Hierarchy: Folders can be nested within other folders, allowing you to build a organizational structure that best fits your team's needs and workflows.

How to Use Folders

How to Create a New Folder

  • Click "+Create New" on the top right

  • In the drop down choose "Folder"

  • Add the Folder name and click "Create Folder"

Move Items to the Folder

This is the same across Folders, Workflows, and Chats

  • Click the "3 dots" associated what you want to move

  • Choose "Move to Folder"

  • Select the folder and click "Move"

Simplified Navigation

Our navigation has been simplified to make it easier to get to what you use the most. If you're looking for Brand Voice, Infobase, and Integrations, just click into Configuration.

  1. What can folders contain?

    • Folders can contain Workflows, Tables, Chats, and other nested folders.

  2. Are folders allowed within folders?

    • Yes, you can create folders within other folders to build a hierarchical structure that suits your team's needs.

  3. Can Brand Voices and Infobase entries be added to folders?

    • No, these Teamspace-wide configuration items are not included in the folder system at this time.

  4. How do permissions work with folders?

    • Folders do not introduce any new permissions within a Teamspace. All permissions are still managed at the Teamspace level.

  5. Can Workflows in different folders be used together?

    • Yes, Workflows can be used across folders within the same Teamspace, ensuring your automated processes remain connected and effective.
