You can communicate in any language you are comfortable with in our Chat, you have to ask in your prompt.
For Workflows, you must request your desired language within the prompt on the individual step. This can be found under the Build tab.
For example, a Workflow builder input: “Given a keyword in German, research that keyword, extract interesting facts from the results, and then write a short summary of what you learned.”
For higher-quality results, one would translate/write any backgrounds/prompts for writing steps in "x language". So instead of it being, “You are a language expert skilled at researching keywords and summarizing” etc. etc., it would be, “Sie sind ein Experte für die deutsche Sprache und verfügen über die Fähigkeit, Schlüsselwörter zu recherchieren und die interessantesten Fakten in prägnanten Zusammenfassungen” etc. etc.
The same goes for the text parts of search/research and text-extraction steps: it is recommended to be sure the text of the search query is fully in "x language", the descriptions of the categories to extract into are in "x language", etc.
One last thing: if one is using a research step (aka a Perplexity query) instead of a search step, Perplexity tends to answer in English by default, but one can get it to respond in German by adding “(Antwort auf Deutsch)” (answer in German) or something like that at the end of the query.
